[I saw] David Hillman Curtis�s Ride Rise Roar, a concert and interview doc about David Byrne touring with material he co-wrote with Brian Eno. That means Curtis is in the challenging position of capturing performances of old Talking Heads songs that were so memorably filmed in Stop Making Sense. What makes this doc work�besides the fact that Byrne gives a really great show on this tour and uses dancers to liven things up a bit�is the interviews with Byrne, the various noted choreographers he asked to choreograph a song each, and with the dancers and back-up singers. The doc looks and sounds great, and the interviews are interesting. For any Byrne fan, it�s a very satisfying experience.
