Dark Was The Night heads to Radio City Music Hall
Gray Chapman, Paste Magazine, 8 April 2009 [Link]

DWTN Live The recent release of indie compendium Dark Was The Night was enough to make any music lover quiver with joy—the compilation featured 31 of today's best indie acts, and it was for a good cause. But wait, there's more! According to Asthmatic Kitty, a small group of the album's contributors will perform from the album at Radio City Music Hall.

The Dirty Projectors, who collaborated with David Byrne for its track on Dark Was The Night, led the effort to gather the album's performers at Radio City on May 3. Though not all of the album's artists will be performing, the live event will feature Bon Iver, David Byrne, the Dirty Projectors, Feist, My Brightest Diamond, the National, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Dave Sitek, with more acts to be announced.

As with the album, the concert will benefit Red Hot, an organization dedicated to raising HIV/AIDS awareness worldwide. Get your tickets here, and stay tuned as more artists are confirmed.
